Thanks to our successful Crowdfunder and support from more than 120 backers, we are now working with a number of communities across Wales.

More Rapid Chargepoints

General comments from our Crowdfunder revealed the need for more rapid chargers across the mid-Wales. We have responded by working with our partners in Open Newtown and local EV experts to identify potential sites.

We are now forming legal agreements and carrying out negotiations with landowners and equipment suppliers. We hope to install once the lockdown is alleviated.

This charge point was one of the earliest installed by our founding members with the intention for it to soon join the TrydaNi network.

Salem Memorial Hall

The wind turbine community fund from Carmarthenshire Energy’s wind turbine at Rhydygwydd has paid for an EV chargepoint, battery and PV system on Salem memorial hall.

The 3kW charger is free to use, and takes its electricity from the PV panels and energy stored in the battery.

Community EV Car Clubs

We are also currently working on the concept of creating community EV car clubs across Wales. This will bring about a significant change to our ideas of attachment to car ownership, and we can come to see the car as a community resource to be shared, rather than to be owned.

More information coming soon.
